The prosecution asked the court to sentence the former head of singer Young-tak's agency, who was handed over to trial on charges of "stock hoarding" to a year in prison.

At the hearing of CEO Lee today (26th) at the Seoul Central District Court, the prosecution demanded a one-year prison sentence for violating the Music Industry Promotion Act.

In addition, he demanded two and a half years in prison for Kim, an official of an entertainment agency who was also indicted, and a year and a half for Yoo.

CEO Lee is accused of artificially raising the ranking on major domestic music sites when he ran singer Youngtak's former agency.

It was found that 15 songs were repeated 1.72 million times in a year since December 2018,
It is understood that CEO Lee
requested Kim and others to manipulate the ranking of Yeongtak's "Why Are You Coming Out There?"

However, three people, including CEO Lee, acknowledged most of the prosecution, but insisted that there was no actual sound source ranking manipulation result.

Lee's lawyer said he was involved in the case because of his impatience to raise his singer's profile, claiming that he believed it was simply marketing and had no idea how to rank.
