Police and firefighters, who conducted a joint inspection today at a motel building in Bongdam-eup, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, where 22 people were injured in a fire last night, believe the fire started on an electric pad.
The fire department explained that the fire, which started from an electric pad on the bed on the first floor of the checkout counter, is believed to have moved to the wall.
The police, who collected electric pads and outlets at the scene, will continue their scrutiny to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
A total of 22 people were injured, including three seriously injured in a fire at a four-story motel in Bongdam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, at around 10 p.m. last night (25th).
