As the prosecution immediately expressed its intention to appeal the ruling of the first trial of perjury by Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, the legal battle is expected to enter the second round.
The prosecution is protesting against the acquittal by even using the expression "technical and fragmented," which is expected to lead to fierce competition in the appeal trial.
Reporter Kim Chul-hee reports.

After the first trial of perjury, the prosecution immediately announced an appeal, using the terms "fragmentary and fragmented judgment" and "excessively sophisticated judgment."
The second round of the legal battle for perjury teachers is also expected to be fierce.
Regarding the most important "deliberate" proof, the prosecution is expected to focus on the phone call between Lee Jae-myung and Kim Jin-sung, which was not mainly covered by the first trial.
[Lee Jae-myung / Representative of the Democratic Party (December 2018): (I don't know who was connected to KBS from the inside) Hmm.... (The schedule may be ambiguous.) But at the time...You can just say that you heard that.]
While the first trial determined that there was room for a different interpretation,
could be viewed as a 'false testimony request'.
The prosecution stresses that this is the most obvious 'perjury teacher'.
A dispute is also expected over the judgment that clearly distinguishes between representative Lee and the act of legal representation and denies 'direct intervention of representative Lee'.
This is because the prosecution believes that representative Lee was involved in a series of processes leading to perjury, including hand-examining the affidavit prepared by Kim and participating in witness applications.
In addition, whether Lee's phone call, who was the incumbent governor of Gyeonggi-do Province and a leading presidential candidate, can be viewed as "pressure",
Whether it is right to split Kim Jin-sung's court testimony and judge only part of it as perjury is also expected to be a major issue in the appeal trial.
