The prosecution demanded 10 years in prison in the first trial for the so-called "team leader Lee" Kang, who bought graffiti on the wall of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

The prosecution asked the court to sentence him to 10 years in prison and a fine of 250 million won at a final trial held at the Seoul Central District Court today (29th).

Prosecutors say Kang's crime is very poor, saying he has damaged the national heritage by recruiting young students to make profits from illegal sites.Mr. Kang

said in his closing statement that he deeply regrets and reflects on the wrongdoings.

The court will hold a sentencing hearing on the 12th of next month.

Gang is accused of ordering graffiti in Gyeongbokgung Palace to a teenager he learned on Telegram in December last year to promote an illegal site he was running.
