Chung Geun-sik, superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, proposed to take the College Scholastic Ability Test in December to normalize the second semester of the third year of high school.
In a press release today (2nd), superintendent Chung claimed that the current attendance of the second semester of the third year of high school and school grades are not reflected in the college entrance examination, resulting in a break at the end of the school year.
Superintendent Chung said that high school education does not exist only as a process for preparing for college admission, and explained that it is difficult to operate the curriculum due to the college-oriented entrance examination schedule.
At the same time, he also proposed a plan to reflect the attendance of the second semester of high school and the sincerity of school records in college admission, and to integrate the occasional and regular recruitment periods into the second half of the second semester.
