If a customer changes his or her mind by placing food or drink in a disposable product to buy to go, there will be a plan not to impose a fine on the store owner.
The Ministry of Environment will revise the regulatory business handling guidelines for disposable products to establish a new regulation that does not impose a fine for using disposable products in stores due to customer change of mind.
Disposable items currently banned from food establishments include plastic cups, straws, rods, plates, cutlery, forks, and knives.
Under the Resource Recycling Act, a fine of up to 3 million won is imposed on business owners who provide disposable products to store users.
