The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters' Special Investigation Team on Emergencies announced today (16th) that it has investigated seven members of the State Council who attended the Cabinet meeting held before the declaration of the emergency martial law on the 3rd.
Justice Minister Park Sung-jae, Health and Welfare Minister Cho Kyu-hong, and Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Minister Song Mi-ryeong have been investigated as witnesses so far, and a complaint has been filed, including some suspects.
Among the participants in the Cabinet meeting, the suspects were acting President Han Deok-soo, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, and former Public Administration and Security Minister Lee Sang-min, who explained that the special team could not confirm who was investigated.
