The first preparation date is set for next week, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, the decision was made at the judge's meeting this morning.

The Constitutional Court decided to refer the case of President Yoon's impeachment to the hearing preparation process and have the first preparation date at 2 p.m. on the 27th.

President Yoon's attendance is unclear because there is no obligation to attend the parties on the preparation date.

The Constitutional Court also said it will secure early investigation records of prosecutors and police in the preparation period.

At the same time, a team dedicated to constitutional researchers, led by senior constitutional researchers, was also set up to review the legal principles.

Why did the Constitutional Court say it would not disclose the referee?

[Reporter]
As the importance and public interest of the presidential impeachment trial are great, attention has been paid to who will lead the case.

In fact, the referee is private in principle, but it is highly likely to be disclosed this time as the referee was disclosed in the case of former President Park Geun Hye earlier.

However, the Constitutional Court said it would not disclose the referee.

To reporters asking whether the judge did not want it, the Constitutional Court gave a short answer that it was based on principle.

Other impeachment cases, including Lee Chang-soo, head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, have been filed with the Constitutional Court.

The Constitutional Court said it will hear President Yoon's case as the top priority in the impeachment trial.
