Seventeen more victims of humidifier disinfectants were recognized, increasing the number of relief benefits to 5,828.

The Ministry of Environment held the 43rd Humidifier Sterilizer Damage Relief Committee to acknowledge the damage of 17 new people and determine the damage rating of four others.

Five lung cancer victims were included in today's (18th) deliberation, of which two died.

According to the status of relief benefit support, 3,404 people were the most eligible for care benefits, followed by 1,411 people for care benefits and 865 people for special survivors.

So far, the amount of victim support has been estimated at KRW 185.2 billion.
