Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon of Sarang First Church was accused of defending Yoon Suk Yeol's 12.3 emergency martial law and calling for a second martial law.
On the 19th, the civic group Peace Tree Christian Recovery Center held a press conference in front of the Seodaemun Police Agency headquarters the day before and announced that it had received a complaint against Jeon Kwang-hoon, a close aide of Sarang First Church, and others on charges of incitement and propaganda of rebellion.
The center said, "In the period of impeachment, Jeon Kwang-hoon and far-right pastors frequently promote incitement of rebellion inside and outside the church."
In particular, the Liberty Unification Party held a rally in Gwanghwamun on the 8th under the theme of approving martial law against impeachment, and a number of politicians from the Liberty Unification Party, including Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, participated in the rally to defend the legitimacy of the declaration of emergency martial law or speak against impeachment.
According to the center, A also said, "In my view, even if we do a second martial law or a third martial law, we must completely eradicate anti-state forces from this country."
Also, a church in North Gyeongsang Province said, "Fraudulent elections are really a crime of rebellion! Break up the Impeachment Democrats! Make a confession to the NEC! Yoon Tong is the best! It has been confirmed that he put up a banner saying, "Please take care of the hot second martial law."
The center pointed out that these remarks and banner contents violate Article 90 (2) of the Criminal Code, "Those who instigate or propagandize the crime of rebellion shall be sentenced to three years or more in prison." It is explained that making such a statement in the absence of the requirements to declare martial law is an act of inciting civil war.
Kim Yong-min, chairman of the Peace Tree, said, "The Jeon Kwang-hoon faction is defending the mastermind of the December 3 civil war. We support a democratic constitution that resolves problems with debate and voting without martial law and without civil war. Therefore, we will monitor your group for incitement of rebellion," he warned.
