It has been newly revealed that Kim Bong-sik, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, received a call from former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun through a security phone just before the martial law was declared.

The emergency martial law special investigation team of the National Investigation Headquarters found out that Commissioner Kim received a security phone from the head of the security last month and returned it a few days after the martial law incident.

It has been confirmed that Commissioner Kim stated that just before martial law, he received a call from former Minister Kim on a security phone that the declaration of martial law, which was originally scheduled for 22:00, was likely to be delayed.

As for how he got the security phone, the security service stated that it was paid for security after reports of President Yoon Suk Yeol playing golf at the Taeneung Physical Training Center came out.

As Commissioner Kim's possession of a security phone has been newly revealed, the police also plan to secure it.

Earlier, it was confirmed that the police chief, Jo Ji-ho, also received instructions by speaking to President Yoon on the phone at least six times during martial law.
