Digital undertaker fined for 'tracking Cho Joo-bin' personal information for money

The CEO of an Internet record deletion company that attracted attention by tracking down Cho Joo-bin, the operator of Telegram's "Doctor's Room," was fined for illegally collecting personal information for money.

The Uijeongbu District Court fined 43-year-old A 5 million won for violating the Information and Communication Network Act.

The court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying there is no question that the defendant deceived the victim to collect information, and that it cannot be a legitimate act because it is not an investigative agency.

A, who received a request from a third party in exchange for 3 million won, was put on trial in January last year on charges of sending a false link to YouTuber B and taking out personal information through it and handing it over to the client.
