Two-thirds of viewers who watched the first TV debate of a U.S. presidential candidate ruled in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a poll commissioned by CNN to pollster SSRS, 63 percent of registered voters said Democratic candidate Vice President Harris did better.
Thirty-seven percent of the respondents said former President Donald Trump, a Republican candidate, did better.
When asked before the debate, "Which candidate do you think will do better," Vice President Harris and former President Trump were tied at 50% each.
This contrasts with the results of June 27, when President Joe Biden debated with former President Trump.
Sixty-seven percent of voters who watched the debate said that former President Trump did better than President Biden.
33% of the respondents said President Biden did better.
President Biden ultimately resigned as a candidate due to the aftermath of the crushing defeat in the TV debate.
After the debate, there were also more voters who were in favor of Vice President Harris.
Forty-five percent of registered voters who watched the debate said they viewed Vice President Harris positively, with 44 percent negative.
It was 6 percentage points higher than the 39 percent who said they were positive for Vice President Harris in the same survey before the debate.
On the other hand, 39% of the respondents said they were favorable to former President Trump after the debate, and 51% said they were unfriendly.
It's a similar figure before the debate.
In addition, 42% of viewers of the debate said that Vice President Harris presented a better plan to solve the U.S. problem, and 33% said it was former President Trump.
Twenty-two percent said neither candidate had come up with a better plan.
The survey was conducted by pre-recruitment of 605 voters who agreed to the survey via text message after the debate, with a margin of error of ±5.3%.
