Israeli forces "prepare air defense perfectly...Iran, the price of the attack"

Israel says it is perfectly prepared for an Iranian ballistic missile attack and warns Iran will have to pay for it.

Daniel Hagari, a senior spokesman for the Israeli military, confirmed in a televised briefing on the 1st local time that information shared by the U.S. shows Iran's ballistic missile attack is imminent.

"Israel's air defenses are fully prepared for Iranian attacks, but no threat has been identified at this time," he said. "Iran will have to pay for whatever attack it launches."

Earlier, Reuters and CNN reported, citing a senior White House official, that Iran was preparing to launch a ballistic missile against Israel and that an attack appeared imminent.

Iran has come to retaliate against Israel in the wake of the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in July and a series of killings of Revolutionary Guards officers in Lebanon and Syria last month, including the bombing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
