"Nihon Hidankyo," a group of Japanese prime minister victims selected as the winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize, also included Korean exposure on the list of attendees at the ceremony.
According to Kyodo News, Nihon Hidankyo announced a list of 31 delegates to attend the Nobel Prize Awards in Oslo, Norway, on the 10th.
This included members of overseas atomic bomb victims groups that are not affiliated with Nihon Hidankyo, such as Jung Won-sul, chairman of the Korean Atomic Bomb Victims Association, and Junko Watanabe, a Brazilian group of atomic bomb victims.
Chairman Jung Won-sul returned to Korea after being exposed to radiation in Hiroshima with his parents and is said to be living in Hapcheon, South Gyeongsang Province, which is now called "Korea's Hiroshima."
According to the Korea Atomic Bomb Victims Association, Lee Tae-jae, the second-generation president of the Korean Atomic Bomb Victims Association, was also included in the list of participants.
In addition to attending the awards ceremony, they plan to return home on the 13th after conducting exposure testimony to high school students and college students there.
