Ukraine's report has been released that Ukraine could develop an atomic bomb in a few months if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump cuts military aid to Ukraine after taking office.

According to the British daily The Times, a report submitted to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense by the Ukrainian military think tank "Centers for Military, Transition and Disarmament Research".According to the

report, Ukraine could extract plutonium from a reactor and make a bomb similar to the human first atomic bomb test 'Trinity' in New Mexico in July 1945 and the 'Pat Man' dropped in Nagasaki, Japan the following month.

Ukraine maintains a significant level of nuclear technology it secured when it was part of the former Soviet Union, and has nine reactors in operation without being occupied by Russia.

The amount of plutonium that can be extracted from this is estimated to be 7 tons, which can make hundreds of tactical nuclear weapons with a power of several kilotons of TNT conversion.

President Zelensky disclosed to Trump last month before the U.S. presidential election that he told Trump that Ukraine would need nuclear weapons for national security if it was disallowed to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and NATO.

Western experts believe it will take at least five years to develop a missile that will carry a nuclear warhead, even if Ukraine develops a nuclear weapon, but the report says it is possible within a year.

In this regard, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry denied its intention to develop nuclear weapons and made an official statement that it had no intention of withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty or the NPT.
