"Ukra, another drone strike on Moscow...59th down".

Ukraine has attempted another drone attack on the Russian capital, Moscow, in a week, foreign media reported.

Russia's Defense Ministry said on the 18th local time that the Ukrainian regime's attempt to launch a terrorist attack using drones overnight was thwarted, and that air defenses destroyed 59 drones.

Two of them were shot down over Moscow state, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The largest number of 45 vehicles were shot down in Bryansk, six in Kursk, three in Belgorod and three in Tula, it said.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on social media that the drone was shot down in Pavlovo-Posad and Ramenskoye, and that emergency personnel were dispatched to the site where the debris fell.

Ukraine says it is carrying out attacks targeting energy facilities in Russia in response to Russian bombardment of its territory.

Local authorities say the border state of Belgorod, which is frequently attacked by drones, has distributed more than 1,000 drone detectors to residents and officials.

The state of Moscow has received a total of 34 Ukrainian drone strike attempts on the 10th, which is considered the largest Ukrainian drone strike attempt against Moscow since February 2022.
