Three people were injured, including two seriously injured, when a light plane crashed near a California auto race track.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a light aircraft crashed into cars at 11:40 a.m. local time on the 17th in a parking lot near an auto racecourse about 50 kilometers east of downtown Los Angeles.
The National Hot Road Association says the light aircraft appeared to have been involved in an accident as it was about to land at a nearby Bracket Field airport.
There were a total of four people on board, three of whom were taken to the hospital, and two were reported to be in critical condition.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating how and what caused the accident.
