Netanyahu "hit part of Iran's nuclear program during airstrike"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he also hit some nuclear facilities when he launched airstrikes on Iran last month, Reuters reported.

In a speech to parliament on the 18th local time, Netanyahu said it was not a secret that hit some of Iran's nuclear facilities, and that certain elements of Iran's nuclear program had been hit by the attack.

However, he added that the last airstrike did not block Iran's path to nuclear weapons development.

Netanyahu's remarks are interpreted as an attempt to highlight the threat posed by Iran's nuclear weapons development capabilities to the Middle East, confirming recent Western media reports.

On the 15th, the British daily Telegraph reported that the Israeli military bombing on the 25th of last month caused the collapse of the "Talegan 2" facility at the Parchin military base outside the Iranian capital, Tehran.

U.S. media Axios also reported that Parchin was attacked, making it difficult for Iran to develop a nuclear explosive device.

Talegan 2 is known to have been used to design nuclear detonators.
