The observatory is even suspended due to safety concerns.

The bridge across the Seine River and the train running on it were covered in snow.

Montmartre Hill also changed into white clothes.

It's rare to see snow in Paris like this.

[Emil / Tourist: It's like magic. The snowy landscape is like the world of poetry. That's nice.]

They also enjoy the seasonal Beaujolais Nouveau set in the snowscape outside the window.

[Anri / Parisian: Beaujolais Nouveau wine is good even if it snows. I don't have any complaints. It snows only twice a year in Paris.

However, because the city is not accustomed to heavy snow, public transportation such as city buses and subways was paralyzed due to poor response such as snow removal.

There was heavy snow all over France as well as Paris.Flight cancellations or delays occurred at the airport of

Charl de Gaulle.

The high-speed rail line connecting large cities also disrupted operations.

In addition, the power supply to hundreds of thousands of households across the country has been cut off due to snowfall and strong winds.

The French weather service issued an orange alert for 54 regions and asked them to pay special attention to driving, especially in areas where temperatures drop below zero.
