The Israeli military says Lebanon's pro-Iranian militant Hezbollah has fired more than 160 projectiles at the country.
Buildings and cars were damaged and five people were injured near Tel Aviv.
Israeli paramedics say at least 11 people across the country have been injured and one is seriously injured.
Hezbollah claims it attacked Tel Aviv's military facilities and its southern Ashdod naval base with missiles and drones.
The Israeli military has not confirmed each of Hezbollah's alleged attacks.
