The G7 foreign ministers condemned North Korea's involvement in the war in Ukraine as a dangerous escalation.
"North Korea's support of Russia means a dangerous expansion of the conflict in Ukraine," the G7 foreign ministers said in a joint statement after wrapping up a two-day meeting in Fiji, Italy, adding that it would have "serious consequences for European and Indo-Pacific security."
He also condemned Russia's nuclear threats, including the relaxation of its nuclear weapons use conditions, as irresponsible and threatening nuclear rhetoric.
Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol, who attended the Indo-Pacific regional session, met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibihar to discuss the trend of sending North Korean troops and South Korea's support for Ukraine.
