U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken paid a visit to Pope Francis at the Vatican today (27th).
The pope and Blinken are said to have exchanged views on key issues such as the Israeli-Hezbollah ceasefire and the war in Ukraine.
Blinken told a news conference after the meeting that he hoped a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah would lead to a broader cease-fire in Gaza and the Middle East.
Minister Blinken visited the Vatican after attending the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Italy from the 25th to the 26th.
