Trump's Special Envoy for Ukraine "If the war drags on, the alliance between North Korea, China, Russia and Iran intensifies"

Ukraine and Russia's special envoy, nominated by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, was found to have suggested in a past contribution that the war in Ukraine should be quickly ended to prevent the deepening of the alliance between North Korea and China and Iran.

Special Envoy nominee Keith Kellogg told the U.S. Institute for First Studies policy book in May that the war in Ukraine was a tragedy that could have been avoided due to President Joe Biden's incompetence and chaotic foreign policy.

He added that a prolonged war in Ukraine risks deepening the alliance between Russia and China, Iran and North Korea, noting that Iran and North Korea continue to provide weapons to Russia and that China is becoming a financial partner for a "cooperative relationship without limits."

Kellogg criticized the sending of weapons to endless stalled wars as a show of expensive good deeds, not constructive policies that promote global stability.

He also stressed that U.S. priority is not isolationism and that it is not a call for the U.S. to back down from international intervention, and that Ukraine should stop sending weapons to a war that is ultimately hard to beat.

Kellogg said the cease-fire and conflict resolution should be focused and called on Ukraine to continue providing military aid to prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine after the cease-fire agreement, but to participate in peace negotiations with Russia.

He added that in order to attract Russian President Putin's participation in peace negotiations, the leaders of the United States and NATO member states should propose a delay in Ukraine's accession to NATO.
