At least 12 people have been killed and tens of thousands displaced in the worst floods in recent 50 years in southern Thailand and northern Malaysia.
Thailand's disaster prevention and response ministry said the death toll from flooding in the southern provinces rose to nine, with more than 530,000 homes affected and thousands of displaced people staying at 200 relief centers.
In Malaysia, since the day before yesterday, floods have killed three people and displaced more than 140,000.
The Thai Meteorological Department says heavy rains may continue for some time, increasing flood-hit areas.
