Elton John "I lost my sight..."I can't even watch the musical I wrote".

British pop music great Elton John said he is so blind that he cannot see the musical performance he composed.

"I lost my vision and couldn't come to many premieres," Elton John said on stage at a charity performance for the musical "The Devil Wears Prada" in London on the night of 1 local time. "But it was really good to hear."

Elton John thanked her husband, David Furnish, for being "a rock-solid man" and walked off the stage, helped by Furnish.

Earlier last week, Elton John said in an interview with US broadcaster Good Morning America, "I lost my right eye sight due to an infection in southern France in July and has been blind for four months. My left eye is also not good."

He also explained that because of this, recording in the studio is difficult, and work on the next album is being delayed.

The Devil Wears Prada' was also a popular film of the same name based on the novel of the same name, with the musical version of music being played by Elton John.
