NYT "Putin accepts North Korea's offer to send troops to Russia"

The New York Times reported that the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia, estimated to be more than 10,000, was first proposed by the North.

U.S. intelligence officials say North Korea's dispatch was a North Korean initiative, and Russian President Vladimir Putin quickly accepted it.

The New York Times reported that North Korea did not immediately receive the payment for the deployment, and that North Korea appears to want Russia to support and provide technology in future diplomatic warfare.

He then said 200 people had already been killed and the number of injuries was slightly higher as North Korean soldiers were engaged in fighting on the front lines of Russia's Kursk front.

Currently, North Korean military units appear to be moving independently without being fully integrated into Russian combat units, increasing the risk of casualties, the New York Times said.

However, Ukrainian officials say the North Korean military appears to receive better medical treatment than Russian soldiers, such as being taken directly to large hospitals instead of small ones if they are injured.
