The research team estimated that 59.1% of all deaths were women, children, and elderly people aged 65 or older.

It also diagnosed that the Palestinian health ministry's ability to compile computerized records of fatalities has deteriorated since the start of the war due to the collapse of medical infrastructure caused by continued Israeli attacks, which may have made the difference between the official tally of fatalities and the actual number of fatalities.
