Lee Woo-young's bereaved family of "Black Rubber Shoes" sued by publishers..."Publisher infringes copyright"

The bereaved family of Lee Woo-young, the author of "Black Rubber Shoes," has filed a complaint with the police against Hyungseol Publishing Company, which is in a copyright dispute.

Lee Woo-young's emergency committee and Lee Ji-hyun, the writer's wife, held a press conference and claimed that the publisher had published and sold a book called "Black Rubber God's Mistake Express" since 2015 without any consent process.

The emergency committee argued that this act by publishers is a clear copyright infringement that goes against the purpose of the court ruling or the copyright committee's decision.

Earlier, the publisher filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Lee Woo-young of Black Rubber Shines, and in March last year during a copyright dispute, Lee killed himself.

After the author's death, the unilateral copyright contract, in which the author himself cannot use the character without the consent of the publisher, became a problem, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism started to improve the system by establishing the Black Rubber New Legal Support Center.
