About 4,000 journalists urged the National Assembly to pass the impeachment bill of Yoon Suk Yeol in front of the KBS main building in Yeouido, ahead of the second impeachment motion asking President Yoon Suk Yeol to take responsibility for the emergency martial law incident.

Fourteen local media organizations issued a declaration of the state of affairs, saying, "We will regard lawmakers who do not participate in the impeachment vote as enemies of press freedom and democracy, and we will judge them together with the people."

Journalists vowed, "At the crossroads of the collapse and leap of the history of democracy in the Republic of Korea, our journalists will make every effort to ensure the role of a free press from any power and the accuracy of the reports demanded by the sovereign people."

The declaration was led by 14 media organizations, including the Korea Journalists Association, the Korea Photographers Association, the Korea Federation of Broadcasting Engineers, and the Korea Federation of Broadcasting Photographers, and 4,164 journalists from 297 media companies and media organizations nationwide were named in the declaration.
