Puig returns to Kiwoom after 3 years.

Yasiel Puig, a slugger who made his name in the U.S. Major League Baseball, will return to the KBO League after three years in Kiwoom uniforms.

Kiwoom announced that it signed a $1 million contract with Puig, who led the team to the Korean Series in 2022.

As a result, the confrontation between Hanwha Ryu Hyun-jin and Puig, who were close to each other during the LA Dodgers, was virtually completed.

Kiwoom also sent out all the existing foreign players and recruited outfielder Kadinez and new left-handed pitcher Rosenberg, who played as Samsung's replacement in July, forming the first foreign player in the KBO league with two batters and one pitcher.

Puig hit 132 home runs with a career batting average of 0.277 in the major leagues for seven years from 2013, and 21 home runs with a batting average of 0.277 in Kiwoom in 2022.

Since playing for Kiwoom, he has continued his career in Venezuela and the Mexican League.
