Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports Council, whose job has been suspended due to various allegations of misconduct, has begun the process of seeking a third term as the next chairman.

Chairman Lee Ki-heung told YTN that he submitted a "declaration of registration of candidacy" to the preparation TF for the election of the chairman of the Korea Sports Council this morning (26th).

You can submit the documents by 6 p.m. on the 29th, 90 days before the chairman's term expires, and Chairman Lee completed the registration process early three days before the deadline.

However, Chairman Lee explained that he will consider it a little more while listening to various opinions from the sports community, saying that it means that he will have a process to run for the third term.

The election to select the 42nd chairman of the sports committee will be held on January 14th next year with 2,300 votes, and candidate registration will be on the 24th and 25th of next month.
