The Seoul Metropolitan Government will check the illegal business activities of hotels around the venue with autonomous districts ahead of the Seoul World Fireworks Festival, which will be held on the 5th of next month.
City announced that it will focus on checking the obligation to post accommodation fees and compliance with hotels along the Han River in Yeongdeungpo, Mapo, and Yongsan-gu, where hotels around the venue are located.
The city said it could face up to six months in prison or a fine of up to 5 million won for claiming "alternative charges" in violation of the accommodation table.
In addition, we plan to provide administrative guidance to prevent unfair cancellation or refusal of refund related to Fireworks View.
