The prosecution has requested arrest warrants for Myung Tae-kyun and former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, who are key figures in the "suspicious intervention of nomination."

This is because money has been exchanged between the two since the 2022 parliamentary by-election.

is accused of receiving more than 90 million won from former lawmaker Kim since August 2022.

The prosecution called Myeong last Friday and weekend to investigate whether he violated the Political Fund Act for two consecutive days.

In the meantime, attention is being paid to whether the allegations of involvement in the nomination of President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, which are linked to the alleged violation of the Political Fund Act, will be revealed.It is suspected that

has been polling free of charge for then-candidate Yoon Suk Yeol in the last presidential election and receiving the nomination of former lawmaker Kim in return.

In response, Myung's side plans to submit data to the court to prove that he is not the real owner of the polling agency.

Along with the two, the prosecution also requested arrest warrants for two people who were preliminary candidates for the Yeongnam region's local government head and metropolitan city council in the 8th local election.

The warrant review to determine whether the four people will be arrested is expected to take place as early as Thursday or the 14th.

Meanwhile, Kang Hye-kyung, who was investigated by the prosecution eight times on the same charges, was excluded from the prosecution's request for an arrest warrant.
