Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, is promoting the "Nobel Literature City" with the Nobel Prize winner by Han Kang.
Jangheung-gun first buys the birthplace of Han Seung-won, the father of the Han River, to display the works of his father and daughter, and develops it as a literary travel course linked to Lee Chung-joon and Song Ki-sook's birthplaces.
In addition, on the closed beach, where Han Seung-won's poetry trail has already been established, Han River's poetry trail will be made into a "Women's Literature Trail" so that it can fit the modern sense and be liked by young people.
In addition, Jangheung-gun has decided to carry out various commemorative projects next year, including a nationwide writing contest to honor Han Kang's Nobel Prize.
Based on this, Jangheung-gun plans to prepare for the creation of the "World Nobel Literature Park" in the long run.
Governor Kim Young-rok of Jeollanam-do Province, who held a policy vision talk with the people of Jangheung County, said he would invest 3 billion won in the budget needed immediately and provide support to become the home of Nobel literature in name and reality.
