[Network] Kangwon National University and Chuncheon National University sign a business agreement to discuss integration

Kangwon National University and Chuncheon National University of Education signed a business agreement to discuss the promotion of integrated national universities in Gangwon Province.

Earlier, the two universities decided to push for integration to jointly respond to the local university crisis caused by a sharp drop in the school-age population, and when the final plan comes out, they plan to hold a vote for and against university members.

Apart from this agreement, the National Gangneung-Wonju National University and Kangwon National University are also undergoing a review committee for the merger of the Ministry of Education with the aim of launching in March 2026, and if Kangwon National University, Chuncheon National University of Education, and Gangneung-Wonju National University are integrated, Gangwon Regional University will be combined into one national university.
