[Incheon] 'Death of Special Teachers' Incheon Specialized Class Improvement Organization Launched

In the wake of the death of a special teacher, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education has decided to launch a dedicated organization consisting of 26 internal and external personnel as the deputy superintendent of education and operate it until August next year to improve the educational conditions of overcrowded special classes.

Accordingly, we plan to conduct a basic survey on the degree of overcrowding in special classes and the status of students with disabilities by the 29th and then collect opinions from special teachers and parents with disabilities to come up with improvement measures.

Subsequently, we plan to add one more special teacher or increase special classes in overcrowded special class schools identified in the basic survey.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education assigned a special teacher to the school in consideration of the fact that A, an elementary school special teacher who died on the 24th of last month, was in charge of a special class exceeding the quota and suffered from hard work.
