A highly pathogenic AI outbreak at a duck farm in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province

A highly pathogenic avian influenza and AI occurred at a meat duck farm in Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do.

The Central Disaster Management Headquarters plans to send an initial response team to the farm to conduct access control and epidemiological investigations and kill 33,000 ducks they had raised.

In addition, eight duck farms in Chungcheongnam-do and 37 affiliates of Juwon Mountain duck, such as the outbreak farm, will be inspected by the 13th of next month.

The total number of highly pathogenic AI cases in poultry farms since October this year has increased to five.
