It was belatedly known that a soldier who was volunteering on vacation saved a man in his 70s who fell unconscious by the Heimlich method.
The main character is Sergeant Kang Sung-jin, a 21-year-old soldier of the 102nd Information and Communication Team under the Army's 2nd Corps.
At 12:20 p.m. on the 4th, Sergeant Kang heard a man in his 70s asking for help, saying he suddenly collapsed while volunteering with his mother at a meeting of senior job participants organized in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon.
Realizing that it was an emergency, Sergeant Kang rushed to the scene, reported it to 119, and immediately tried the Heimlich method after hearing that he collapsed after eating rice cakes.
The fallen man vomited food as an emergency measure by Sergeant Kang, and was later taken to a nearby hospital by 119 paramedics who arrived.
Sergeant Kang said he ran to the scene without hesitation at the thought of being someone's precious family and one of the people he should protect, and said he would do his best to protect the country and the people as a soldier.
