Scotland, where a third of the world's floating offshore wind power is concentrated.
As such, the first reason Scotland has been able to emerge as a hub for offshore wind power is its abundant wind resources.
The government's strong support and commitment to offshore wind power has made Scotland the center of offshore wind power here.
The UK plans to expand offshore wind power, which is cheaper than fossil fuels and has greater employment effects, to 50 GW by 2030, four times the current cost.
The Scottish government is also stepping up efforts to expand offshore wind power to achieve Net Zero in 2045, five years earlier than the UK government.
Already in March, a research center was opened in Aberdeen, Scotland, to support the floating offshore wind industry.
