[Gyeonggi] Seongnam Namhansanseong Ring Road to be expanded to six lanes

Seongnam City announced that it has completed the first phase of the 3km section of the expansion of the Dakjukchon in Dandae-dong, Sujeong-gu, and Hwangsong Tunnel in Geumgwang-dong, Jungwon-gu, at a cost of KRW 165 billion since 2013.

The opening is expected to shorten the vehicle travel time of the section, which has been in chronic congestion, as the section expands from the existing four lanes to six lanes.

In addition, the flow of vehicles to and from Seoul and Wirye New Town to Seongnam's original city center to Gwangju and Yongin using the Namhansanseong Ring Road is expected to improve.
