The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency has launched a forced investigation into the chairman and others in connection with allegations that goods were sprayed on provincial lawmakers during the election of candidates for the chairman's group in the second half of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council.
The police raided Chairman Choi Hak-beom's home and office today.
The raid is aimed at identifying suspicions that Chairman Choi colluded with a former provincial councilor to present eels to 15 provincial councilors during the second half of the chairman's election.
The police plan to call Chairman Choi and others to investigate soon.
