Group aespa will return with a new song after the hit 'Super Nova'. It is a transformation and challenge that has been shown for the first time in five months.

Espa's fifth mini-album, Whiplash, will be released on the 21st.

The new album 'Whiplash' presents Espa's confident and cool charm based on the keyword, "I, with subjectivity, is a 'game changer' that opens a new world."

Public expectations are also high as it is the first new album to be released in five months after "Super Nova," which dominated the music charts in the first half of this year.

Aespa will challenge this genre for the first time since its debut by choosing a new EDM-based techno genre called "Whiplash."

Choi Sung-woo, general director of SM One Productions, said, "We wanted to show the more advanced music colors of Espa. "It is not a popular genre like 'Super Nova', but rather a song that can be divided between likes and dislikes, but I think it would be good to see it as a challenge to present an EDM base that has not been done before with Espa's own color," he explained.

Choi Sung-woo, general director, said, "As the last album was loved so much, it was possible because the members and the One Productions staff wanted to repay it with new music. We look forward to seeing reactions such as 'Aspa is good at this' or 'Who does it if it'?"

Espa is on its second world tour, "SYNK: PARALLEL LINE," which started with a concert in Seoul in June. From the Japanese arena tour to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Sydney, Melbourne, and Macau, he toured Asia and Australia, and from January next year, additional performances will be held in the United States, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain.
