There will be a movie featuring the determined fighting spirit, suffocating suspense, and brilliant action of the independents. The movie "Harbin" targets the Christmas theater district with a combination of three countries' locations and actors who have led the box office of K content.A production briefing session for

Harbin' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at 11 a.m. today (27th). Director Woo Min-ho, who directed the work, and actors Hyun Bin, Cho Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-bin, Park Hoon, Yoo Jae-myung and Lee Dong-wook attended the event.

'Harbin' is a 1909 work that depicts the breathtaking pursuit and doubt between those heading to Harbin and those who pursue it for one purpose. Director Woo Min-ho of the films "Namsan's Managers" and "Insiders" captured the turbulent journey of the independents by catching a megaphone.

In particular, "Harbin" debuted around the world through the official invitation of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, drawing favorable reviews from various perspectives such as mise-en-scène, story, and acting, drawing expectations as a work with both cinematic and box office performance.

Director Woo Min-ho said, "I expected it to be difficult, but I sympathized with the scenario." He said, "I made a determination to end the 'Namsan managers' and never do a period drama again. However, when I happened to see General Ahn Jung-geun's book and Hive Mediakov's scenario, I felt that he was moving his mind," he said.

Hyun Bin, who will appear in director Woo Min-ho's work for the first time, said he decided to participate in the director's passion. Hyun Bin said, "The will and passion to make it properly came out. I had a lot of worries because I couldn't say the pressure and responsibility of playing a real person, but on the other hand, I loved being given the opportunity to play a meaningful person," he said.

Coach Woo and Hyun Bin emphasized that they wanted to draw a new Ahn Jung-geun. Coach Woo said, "We have an image that the hero Ahn Jung-geun had. Beyond that image, I wanted to show General Ahn Jung-geun anew by focusing on the fear and camaraderie that the general must have felt. I also tried to capture the general's heart sublimely in the vast land and Mother Nature, he explained.

Io Hyun-bin said, "The coach's goal was to show a different side of General Ahn Jung-geun." General Ahn Jung-geun, who was on his way to the process of going to the great service, must have had various emotions such as anguish, frustration, and sadness as a human being. Nevertheless, I hope that the belief and will that I had to walk to achieve my goal will be expressed a lot," he explained.

Cho Woo-jin, who is called "Persona" for his three works with director Woo Min-ho, said, "Director Woo Min-ho's persona is an honorable word," adding, "While acting, I sometimes skip the review stage and choose, and this work was like that. Before I read the script, I said I would do it. And when I looked at the script, I thought it was a really difficult work," he said, drawing laughter.

The trailer and producer video of "Harbin" released on the same day gave us a glimpse of the difficult filming process. Harbin was filmed in Mongolia, Latvia and South Korea over six months. The production team chose Mongolia, which resembles Manchuria and the topography, and Latvia, which has the architectural style of the former Soviet Union, as the most realistic location for depicting China and Russia where actual independence forces were active.

In the video of the production machine, Hyun Bin drew attention with his enthusiastic performance on the ice lake. At that time, Hyun Bin said, "It was a rough road to Mongolia Lake, and it was a lake that had to go about 16 hours from the airport, and the weather was about minus 40 degrees Celsius." "Rather than being tired, the sights and situations of that time helped me immerse myself in that space."

Jeon Yeo-bin, who stayed abroad for five months to film, said, "The time to go to the Mongolian set was quite long, and it was not a comfortable road, so it was difficult for everyone to go," but added, "There was an emotion I could feel in the middle of the desert. It was a moment to reflect on solitude, loneliness, and existence, and it was a moment to share them together. I could feel a strong sense of camaraderie and solidarity," he said.

Yoo Jae-myung stayed in Latvia to film. "I didn't go to Mongolia, but when I heard about my struggles in Mongolia later, I thought it was a good thing I didn't go," he said. "I went to Europe for the first time, and it was so hard, but walking on the street and filming in a small Eastern European city and preparing for the next shoot was like a trip, and I tried my best to pull out the scenes."

Coach Woo revealed the background of his decision on overseas location. Coach Woo said, "The precondition was that we should contain the hearts of General Ahn Jung-geun and independence fighters, but our bodies should not be comfortable. I can't compare it to them, but I thought I had to go to remote areas and vast nature and suffer hard in order to feel their hard work and hard work even a little bit."

Finally, Hyun Bin said, "I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have devoted themselves to our country, 'Harbin,' and that's why I worked even more sincerely. We have captured a lot of scenes that cannot be seen on a small screen, and we have made efforts, so I hope you come to the theater and feel our sincerity," he said.

'Harbin' will be released in theaters on December 25.
