"The reason I didn't do the interview was not because it was mysticism, it was just because I wasn't the main character. "LOL".

An interview with actor Ryu Seung-beom, who starred in the Coupang Play series 'Family Planning', was held at somewhere in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 29th.

Facing reporters for the first time in a long time, he was boisterous and humorous. It was softer and more relaxed. In the past, he played unique roles as an actor and was imprinted with a strong image in the public.

Two years ago, he played Frank, a mysterious courier, in Disney+'s "Moving," but his media interview came in nine years. In response, Ryu Seung-beom said, "Is it already that way? There was no particular reason, I spent less time in Korea, and it happened naturally," he said.

He also said, "I think I've chosen my job as an actor now. I'm still a little ashamed of my activities as an actor, my duties, and my interviews. I hope I will get used to these things in the future," he confessed.

'Family Plan' is a black comedy-reversal thriller in which people with special abilities gather as families to beat criminals who are no better than beasts in unusual ways. In the

play, Ryu Seung-beom plays Baek Chul-hee, a father who is timid somehow with his ability hidden, but at least to his wife, he plays a loving father.

Earlier, Ryu Seung-beom married a Slovak artist 10 years younger than him. Holding his daughter in his arms in 2020, he said of his first father role, "Now that I'm a real father, I know. It's best for my dad to just be crushed like Cheol-hee for the peace of the family. I use it when I use my strength, but I usually stay quiet," he said with a smile. When asked about the love figure in the

play and the synchronicity in real life, he said, "That's why I actually acted so comfortably. Now that I know what my family and father are, I'm really comfortable moving in," he said.

When reporters said he looked more comfortable after marriage, he asked back, "Was it originally scary?" and drew laughter.

At the same time, he confessed that his attitude toward feeling the work changed after forming a family. He said, "It wasn't like that before, but I can feel the emotion when I see these scripts these days, like during 'Moving'. In particular, I think I am attracted to the script by sympathizing with paternal love, the specialness of femininity, and the blessings given to them," he confessed.

In "Family Planning," he also mentioned actor Bae Doo-na, who worked as a couple.

Ryu Seung-beom said, "I'm originally a favorite actor. Bae Doo-na herself has a confident charm. I feel that acting insight is incredible. I focus on human emotions and act. What is this feeling? I wonder if there are any other emotions that will come out if this situation comes from here, but Doona has an insight into the entire work," he said.

Ryu Seung-beom, who is now in his mid-40s, defined this as the golden age of his life rather than when he was young.

He said, "These days, the thoughts of being so grateful come from deep. It's also precious and careful. Of course, youth in their 20s and 30s is also good. In the old days, I wondered, "When will I be in my 40s and play a role that smells like a real man?" However, from an actor's point of view, I now want to try to act better. You will have a sense of responsibility and approach as a professional," he said.

'Family Plan' will be released for the first time at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play.
