The operator of the YouTube channel "Taldeok Detention Center" has filed an appeal against the court's ruling to compensate singer Kang Daniil 30 million won.

The operator of the "Taldeok Detention Center" reportedly submitted an appeal to Judge Lee Kun-hee in the 29th Civil Chamber of the Seoul Central District Court on the 12th. Judge Lee ruled on the 27th of last month that A should pay 30 million won to Kang Daniel.

Earlier, A was accused of defaming Kang Daniel by posting a video titled "The promiscuous private life of a national boyfriend actor idol" while running a YouTube channel "Taldeok Camp" in 2022. As a result, the first trial court sentenced A to a fine of 10 million won in September, and both A's side and the prosecution did not appeal, so the ruling was confirmed.

Since then, Kang Daniel has filed a civil lawsuit to recover the damage, not just criminal punishment. Kang Daniel's side also explained the background of the civil lawsuit, saying, "We will not make good-faith victims through this case." At that time, Kang Daniel's claim for damages from A was worth 100 million won.

Attention is focusing on what judgment will be made in the appeals court as A filed an appeal against the compensation of 30 million won.
