An electric train passing between Geumcheon-gu Office Station and Seoksu Station on Subway Line 1 collided with a passenger car.

A police investigation found that a man in his 50s who drove a car was not behind the wheel after drinking alcohol.

The driver previously told police that a car accident at a nearby three-way intersection broke the brake, which was followed by a car that broke through the retaining wall and fell onto the track.

The driver and passenger reportedly got off shortly after the vehicle broke through the wall and stopped on the track, avoiding further anger.
