It's the school midterm season these days.

How do your children, nephews, and grandchildren look?

Korea's student happiness index is 45.3 out of 100.

It's a failing score of less than 50.

More than 1 in 10 students were suffering from insomnia.27% said they couldn't sleep because they had a lot of work to do

because they were worried about what to do tomorrow.

In particular, students who are under pressure from their studies had a lower happiness index.

Students under pressure to study had shorter sleep and leisure time and longer study time.

How much is it compared internationally?

As of 2021, the Save the Children survey ranked 31st out of 35 countries and last out of 22 countries surveyed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Lee Chang-yong, governor of the Bank of Korea, met with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs today and said, "There is nothing wrong with living in Gangnam, but we need to think about whether children are happy."

He also said that it is not the fairest to select college freshmen based on their grades.
