Cargo ships and fishing boats near Jamdo Island in Jinhae...rescue of 12 people

Around 6 p.m. today (1st), a 9,000-ton cargo ship and a 4-ton fishing boat collided in the sea 1.1km north of Jamdo, Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam.Eleven of the 12 people on board were rescued by nearby fishing boats and one by the maritime police as

flooded the fishing boat in an accident.

Among those rescued, one passenger in his 50s on board complained of rib pain, and other crew members reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The Coast Guard plans to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident against cargo ships and fishing boats.
