As Israeli forces eventually crossed the southern border of Lebanon and entered the ground war, Hezbollah launched a counterattack with missiles targeting Mossad headquarters.

As Israel begins two wars against pro-Iranian forces, attention is drawn to Iran's choice in the future.

White smoke rises from roads near central Israel.

Shortly after Israeli forces entered the ground war in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah fired three to four rockets, prompting air raid sirens across the central part of the country.

Most were intercepted, but one shot fell near the road.

Hezbollah launched a missile attack on Mossad's headquarters outside the central city of Tel Aviv, injuring two people, local media reported.

Hezbollah claimed in a statement that it "fired Fadi-4 missiles at the headquarters of the Israeli military intelligence unit and Mossad."

It appears to have attempted to retaliate against Mossad for directing the assassination of supreme leader Nasrallah following the explosion of radio callers and carpet bombing.

Hezbollah also fired ballistic missiles at Mossad on the 24th of last month, but it has not had much effect because it was intercepted by air defenses.

Just before the start of the ground war, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu unusually provoked the Iranian people, saying that the Iranian regime must collapse to be free.

[Benyamin Netanyahu / Prime Minister of Israel (last month, 30th): The Iranian regime is taking the noble Persian people closer to the abyss at every moment.]

Despite concerns to the international community, attention is being paid to Iran's response in the future as Israel pushes ahead with a ground war against Hezbollah following Gaza.

Iran has repeatedly warned that Israel will pay, but so far has not made any military moves.

[Nasser Kanani / Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman on the 30th of last month] Iran is not afraid of war. I'm not seeking war, but I'm trying to strengthen regional stability.

Foreign media reported that the U.S. viewed it as an opportunity to reduce the influence of Iranian forces, but avoided public support for Israel due to concerns over the spread of an all-out war.
